Rachel Berger

I received my personal training certificate through the International Sports Sciences Association in August of 2003, and I graduated from TVI's Fitness Technician Program in April of 2005.

After being overweight and inactive for the majority of my life, I decided to make a lifestyle change when I was 19 years old. I learned that exercise alone would not make the drastic change I wanted to transform my physique and improve my health levels. I spent 11 months during my freshman year of college committed to developing healthy eating habits and exercising regularly. I ended up losing 42 lbs. and 14 pants Sizes! Proving to myself I could do something that challenging motivated me to want to help others achieve their fitness and weight loss goals.

I am one of the newest trainers at Liberty Gym and have been training full time since mid January of 2006. I feel that personal training is the most rewarding career I could ever have because it goes beyond the way my clients feel mentally and physically after a workout.I have seen their health problems reduced drastically, their moods changed dramatically in such a positive way, and a huge increase in their self esteem levels and happiness. They truly believe in themselves and through starting to transform their physiques and attain self control and discipline, they have proven to themselves they can do anything they put their minds to, both inside and outside the gym!Seeing them achieve their weight loss and fitness goals is the most rewarding part of my job, and I feel that the biggest purpose of my life is to encourage others, love others, and teach others to believe in themselves, in every challenging area of their lives.
